We got here at 8PM on Sat 10/16/2021 and was greeted Graciously. We were promptly attended to by the waitress. They have a nice selection of Beer, Wine and Mixed drinks. We got the 1/2 lb. spiced shrimp appetizer and they were perfect, cleaned/deveined and spiced just right. We also got the Corn Chowder and it was the very best we have ever had. Sweet tender corn smooth and creamy with potatoes and Ham. The Bread they bring was great dipped in the Corn Chowder we got a second order of bread. We also got the Grilled Chicken Spinach Strawberry Salad for our entrée and it was perfect. I did see the steaks pass by and the chicken schnitzel pass by and they looked wonderful. The guy next to us got the Lamb Chops they looked perfect and he was still licking the bones when we left. The only thing Lacking in this restaurant was the Apple strudel we got for desert. The apples were cooked to a mush and it could of used a little cinnamon or even brown sugar in the recipe. Being a Chef from Europe I have made my share of Apple Strudel recipes and never cooked the apples prior to making the strudel. You can but never to a mush; These seem to be cooked way down before adding to the pastry dough. We will definitely be back and soon for double spiced shrimp this time.

5 stars without being pretentious. Best meal so far between Warm Springs and Lexington. Food was delicious, service was great. Unique, historic building.

We really enjoyed our meal. The food is a 5, I gave the restaurant a 4 due to ambience. The staff was engaging and has a good sense of humor. The food is amazing, much better than the more famous restaurant down the road located in an old mill. I had fettuccine carbonara and loved it. My neighbor ordered his steak rare and it was actually cooked rare, which in my experience is...rare. They know what they're doing. Well worth it.
