“Super nice spot to eat outside, share a bottle of wine (or just drink it all to yourself), or have a cup of coffee. We had sandwiches, some treats from the shelves inside, and coffees. All were made fresh with tasty ingredients. We also walked around with our dogs and saw the property. Very well kept, clean and offers beautiful views. We very much plan to come back, stay at the warm springs inn, swim in the pools and eat here!”

“What a wonderful winery experience! The owners were so warm and welcoming, the nibbles were delicious, the atmosphere and music were lovely, and the wine was divine!! I enjoyed seeing the newly renovated space and people happily sipping on their wine. I highly recommend trying them all, each one is full of body and has a wonderful flavor profile which leaves you wanting more. The best part was… no headache the next day - read about their practices up on the wall inside and you’ll learn how they press and ferment the grapes to precision, leaving nothing but a clean aromatic glass of your new favorite red, white, or sparkling wine!”

“The atmosphere was lovely- casual, but slightly upscale. We had delicious salads. I enjoyed the Sopsky salad with grilled shrimp. My husband loved the spinach strawberry salad with grilled salmon The coffee was very good, and we had a lovely view of the mountains. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the locality. Would love to return!”

“We got here at 8PM on Sat 10/16/2021 and was greeted Graciously. We were promptly attended to by the waitress. They have a nice selection of Beer, Wine and Mixed drinks. We got the 1/2 lb. spiced shrimp appetizer and they were perfect, cleaned/deveined and spiced just right. We also got the Corn Chowder and it was the very best we have ever had. Sweet tender corn smooth and creamy with potatoes and Ham. The Bread they bring was great dipped in the Corn Chowder we got a second order of bread. We also got the Grilled Chicken Spinach Strawberry Salad for our entrée and it was perfect. I did see the steaks pass by and the chicken schnitzel pass by and they looked wonderful. The guy next to us got the Lamb Chops they looked perfect and he was still licking the bones when we left. The only thing Lacking in this restaurant was the Apple strudel we got for desert. The apples were cooked to a mush and it could of used a little cinnamon or even brown sugar in the recipe. Being a Chef from Europe I have made my share of Apple Strudel recipes and never cooked the apples prior to making the strudel. You can but never to a mush; These seem to be cooked way down before adding to the pastry dough. We will definitely be back and soon for double spiced shrimp this time.”

We’ve been coming here for the last 3 years, and it has become an absolute MUST for delicious food and even better beer while we’re staying at the Homestead. Emily and her family work so tirelessly to make this place the best, and the amount of heart they put into this place is evident in their service and the quality of literally anything you would care to order. My new favorite is the Mee Maw’s grilled cheese… just WOW! Do yourself a favor and stop by, have a beer, (or three), and enjoy probably the best spot in the entire region!”

“I never leave reviews on restaurants, but this place was so outstanding I had to share our experience. My wife and I booked a reservation here on a whim, not expecting much, but this place delivered on every level. The food was outstanding (everything from bread baked in house, to the mains/meats prepared over a wood fired grill), the service was excellent. It was so good, we may go back for a second night during our stay at The Homestead. We travel frequently and this was as good a meal as we’ve had in New York or London. Don’t sleep on this amazing little French restaurant nestled in a quiet Virginia mountain town. Special thanks to Patrick for taking such great care of us!”

“During COVID, they're only doing their breakfast buffet which honestly was disappointing. We got free breakfast through Amex which is good because there's no way it's worth $32 a person. The potato hash was good and the omelette station as well. Skip the pancakes and the cold biscuits and gravy. The cinnamon donuts were also good. Three stars as the setting is really cool. More sprinkler heads than I've ever seen before.”
