The food was awesome as usual! The greeter made us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere was just quite pleasing. My friend and I of about 60 years was having lunch there. Her favourite is the sweet potato souffle. The waitress was not up to par. She was extremely distracted. You would have to ask her 3 or 4 times to get something for you. Except for the waitress everything else was out of this world!!!
Was a great experience. My waitress was very beautiful and she was very kind and went out of her way to make sure that my glass of water was full at all times and that I had what I needed while I was enjoying my meal. One thing that I cannot stand at a lot of cracker barrels is when you asked for an over easy egg and they bring it out with snot all over it meaning the whites are not fully cooked. I requested to make sure my yoke was ruddy and the whites were fully cooked and it came out exactly as I asked satisfactory. Also the bacon wasn't burnt to a crisp and crucified which is also a problem that most cracker barrels. Good job chef highly recommended Cracker Barrel.
The new chicken is delicious. The waitress was extremely nice and gave excellent service. There are so many pretty things to look at and buy. Just a nice place to eat and do a little shopping if you choose.
Whenever I end up going, I usually always order the chicken and dumplings with fries, salad, and mac and cheese and have never had a problem with them. Partnering that with the fact that their actual store has some pretty cool stuff, I absolutely love going there and only wish it wasn't so far away. Not that the drive is long but going from Roanoke to troutville every time I am feeling some Cracker Barrel especially when it's pitch black night, not many streetlights in between, and bad weather so it can get a bit dangerous to make the trip. All in all though I love the place and can't wait till I can go again.
