Food was amazing! Party of 16 and there were 12 different dishes. Everyone loved what they ordered. No bread for us which was weird. We saw it later on another table. Service was so-so. But, hats off to the chef!

I reviewed Vivian's Table on my first visit back in March, and rated it 5*. Somehow, the review has disappeared. So my second visit was a bit less impressive, so only 4* this time. Here's why. I had the spicy red snapper, same as my first visit. Not so spicy this time. In fact, pretty bland. And it was missing garlic, calabrian peppers, and bread crumbs as advertised. The filet rested on a bed of kale....and that was it. There was a yellowish sauce on the side that I guessed was the spice. My wife had the beef tenderloin, but she ordered it well done. She said it was ok, but should have ordered it medium or medium-well. That was her mistake. The salad was called a "petite". I would say "puny". Some bread would've been nice. Pinot grigio was not on the wine list. Pretty sure it was there last time. Anyhow, the server was able to scare up a glass from somewhere. Our dessert was the raspberry layer cake (still somewhat frozen). Just ok. All in all, our second experience wasn't as memorable as our first. Now, to the rooftop bar (Lumac). We didn't visit the Lumac on our first visit in March because of the weather. We found the decor and seating very nice, spacious and inviting. You could sit inside or outside. Now the downside: there were no wait staff. You had to stand in a line to order a drink to take outside. If you wanted a refill, it's back to the bar line. No thanks. Temperatures were in the 60s. In the expansive outdoor lounge there was only one fire pit (table) and one heater. There should have been at least 3, maybe 4 more. And smoking is permitted. That's a deal breaker right there. So much potential.

For some place that is relatively new and supposed to be part of a four star hotel, it was very disappointing. At one p.m. on a Thursday afternoon, there were only two other couples - both were just talking business and not eating. Our waitress was nice but she was obviously a smoker. Unfortunately, they were out of 3 or 4 of the items on the menu. It was supposed to all be farm to table style but a lot of it was very heavy in nature. We decided to try a potato chip appetizer and see what we thought before ordering anything else. They were handmade chips similar to Ruffles, but they tasted fresh and good. Sprinkled on top was a home made bleu cheese dressing, candied bacon, pickled Italian peppers and sriracha. They were tasty but would have been better if layered as most of the toppings were int eh bottom of the bowl. The bacon was lightly sprinkled and could have used some more as it was a nice contrast to the spice. It was good but not great, we decided not to try anything else after that. A four star boutique hotel should have a restaurant worthy of it's nature and Vivian's is not that. The lunch sandwiches that were listed looked really heavy - mostly covered in tons of gooey toppings.

Pleasant service, good food and a great atmosphere! The prices are worth the food and the portions. It’s a nice place to eat!
