Puerto Nuevo Freshmex & Seafood

New favorite Mexican restaurant in Bristol. It's a little bit more expensive than other places but it's more than worth it. They have a better menu and they use higher quality ingredients than their competitors in the area. My only complaint is that it still just looks like an Outback on the inside but that's not that big a deal. Overall, a great place to eat. Try the fresh guacamole, by the way.

My husband and I have eaten several times at the Banner Elk location. Actually made little road trips there. We were very excited to have the new location in Bristol, VA. Fabulous food, great and attentive service. Really is authentic Mexican and not a TexMex burn your mouth off place. Great experience tonight ????. No it's not a quickie, nasty Barbaritos type place.

Good food and good wait staff! Menu is a little pricey but the portions are large. Salsa bar needs larger cups. You can't dip a chip in a tiny cup. They should offer a larger bowl of salsa to share. They do bring out a larger bowl of bean dip with cheese in the middle for the table. The chips are good. Overall, a good experience.

As with the other Puerto Nuevo locations; excellent food and service! But! The entrance is way too congested with people waiting and people paying their bill, all in the same area! The salsa bar is located in the same area, so it was not possible to reach with all of the people gathered at the entrance area, where the register and waiting area are too. Relocate the salsa bar, or add another location, accept payments at the table, and get the register away from the crowd! Other than that, this place rocks, just as their other locations, with exceptional Mexican/Seafood/Service/Decor!
