I would have given it 5 stars ..... steak and sea scallops where great both were cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned just right very well balanced. The gin and tonic was perfect as well as my wife's drink. Atmosphere was pleasant and staff was great. Unfortunately, my daughters pasta dish was not very good, the pasta represented more of a ramen noodle and the pasta was way over cooked. So three out of 4 dishes were great my daughters pasta just missed the mark. I would definitely go again just make sure to stick to the steak and sea scallops.
Loved the atmosphere and the staff was extremely friendly. We had desserts, which were wonderful.
Stopped by for a quick Saturday night dinner with an hour parking. Sat at the bar and ordered the spaghetti (pictured, and quite tasty) and chicken (also good!) The meals took 40 minutes to arrive and cost them a star for an otherwise tasty meal at a lovely restaurant. Given the wait time we polished off the entire bread basket of great sour dough bread!????????
Always much above average food with great local sources. Drinks and service are consistently outstanding. Go for the location and the staff. Not the best food in town, but likely better than most towns’ best. Charlottesville has 5 consistently great restaurants; this one is really close but not quite. Any of their fresh pasta things are good (kind of Alsatian though?!?) and the calamari is great. Salads are solid. Not good for vegetarians, the blue plate feels like an afterthought; move with the times.
Just a great place to dine. Service was superb. Food was absolutely scrumptious. We had the double cut pork chop and the shrimp and grits. A very nice wine list that doesn't bankrupt you. A wonderful salad appetizer. I wish we had room for dessert. Oh, well, I guess we just have to come back ... and back ... and back.
