“We had a great lunch and great conversation with the owners. We had a puppy with us and had lunch on the porch. They took water out for our puppy in kindness. I had the pulled pork sandwich with slaw. My friend had chicken salad. Excellent!!! Very fresh, and high quality too with detail on kind friendly service. “Quaintest little gas station! 3 older men were playing dominoes inside and very polite young man was helpful outside. The lady/owner/operator was very friendly and quite knowledgable about the area. It only had two pumps but they were the old school turn off by hand kind I haven't seen since i was a kid! At first i thought the were just for show but they are quite real and pump precisely and fast. Wonderful hidden treasure!”

It looks like so many other interesting things you see out in the country....a good idea that suffers due to lack of customers and attention, but such is not the case here. Interestingly, there are very few tables which is a good idea. No wasted space and always look full. We were there in the middle of the day on a Sunday. There were several tables occupied. Waitress was attentive. Wife ordered spaghetti with garlic and mushrooms. She wanted to try the red mushroom sauce and they brought a full bowl. She is not really a spaghetti fan but she absolutely loved both and ate it all even after having french fries to start. ( We had worked all morning and had an appetite.). The fries were really crispy and good. My veggie calzone was large and filling and good. Lots of cheese. Bread that came on the side was very good too. We will be going back for sure. Don't let the out of the way location keep you from going.”

“Giuseppe's is a family-run restaurant. They go out of their way to accommodate large groups. We went to dinner there with our camping group of about 30 people. It was a little disorganized with the wait staff, which caused things to slow down. It took quite a while to get our drinks, etc. Par for the course with a large group. By the time we got our food we were starving. All in all we were at the restaurant sitting at the table almost 3 hours. I ordered the pizza roll it was very good. The food came out hot and it was delicious. The only peeve I had with the restaurant is that they apparently don't have central air conditioning so they had a unit on the wall and in order to make the front end of the restaurant comfortable the people at the back end of the restaurant froze our group was sitting at the back of the restaurant. Because of this my food which came out hot was stone cold before I was halfway through my food. As was everyone else's seated near the wall air conditioner, as it was blowing over top of our table. If we return we'll be sure to sit in a different area of the restaurant.”

“It may seem excessive to give a chain restaurant with simple food 5 stars, but the reasons add up to even more than 5. The pecan waffles are terrific; that’s a star. The service is very friendly and extremely fast, food on the table in minutes, even if a little crowded; it takes a packed restaurant before the service is merely normal speed, and even then it’s not slow; that’s another star. The entire menu is very inexpensive; it’s easy for two people to be done with ordering and still be under $20; that’s a third star. I’ve liked everything I’ve ordered, from breakfast food to a steak dinner, not elegant but excellent, always very tasty, simple food; that’s 4 stars already. The restaurants, restrooms, and even the parking lot are almost always completely clean, which a lot of fancier restaurants can’t manage to do so consistently; 5th star. Open 24 hours and unlike many competitors that only serve breakfast in the morning, Waffle House serves the entire menu all 24, so if you want a pecan waffle for dinner (I have) or a steak for breakfast (that too), you can have it; star number 6. I have more stars to write , but you get the idea by now why an inexpensive very informal chain restaurant can earn a 5 star review. Enjoy it for what it is, which is easy on the southern interstates because you can count on a Waffle House within just a few exits, star number 7.”
