This place is really good to have fun the food is really good

Get their steak tacos. The tortillas are authentic and delicious. You can't go wrong. You'll thank me later :) The staff are very friendly too!

Herndon va good community

This was the most unusual dining experience I've had in a while. It was late on a Sunday so there were very few restaurants that were still open. I'd already tried the diner down the road, so I was looking for something new to me and Copan sounded interesting. Finding street parking wasn't a problem that time of night. From the outside, Copan looked dark because of the tinted windows. Inside though, it was a raucous bar with a DJ, dancing, and Latin American music. As I entered the security guard gave me a pat down for weapons, so I wondered if people trying to bring guns in was usually a problem.

Anyway, I sat at the bar and ordered food. It was hard for the server and I to hear each other over the loud music but I pointed at the menu and wrote down my order on a napkin, where necessary. The food seemed rather more authentic and flavorful than at most other Mexican places and the meat was well-seasoned. Prices were quite reasonable for the area too.

Copan looks like a Mexican workingman's bar, so the ambiance may not be to everyone's taste. But if you're adventurous, you may find some good food at a fair price.
