Jjigae Korean Soup & Noodle

We had lunch at this place a few months ago, hoping to warm ourselves up with a hot and tasty soup on a cold day. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience. The jjigae we ordered was excessively spicy and salty, which we did not enjoy. In addition to the unsatisfactory taste, we felt the portion sizes were small for the price.

Perfect to have on a chilly night. Loved the soup and all the sides. The seafood pancake was really good too. Not given 5 stars because service was not organized. Stood in front of the restaurant without any greeting or estimate wait time until walking up to the staff to ask myself

Perfect place for a cold winters evening. Took the family, the kids (adults) love Korean food. The extra spicy isn’t too spicy. Seafood tofu jjigae is heavy on the tofu, light on the shrimp and other seafood.
The individual hotpot is nice. Service was a little confused by our asking questions but resolved when someone more fluent in English came to the rescue.
This is Korean home cooking/ comfort food. The place is new and was pretty crowded fir a Thursday night.
We definitely will be back. Kids liked it as did I.

New Korean soup & comfort food restaurant in VA!
✨️ Bulgogi hotpot: SO good! On the sweeter side, tasted exactly like traditional bulgogi whilst warming up your tummy.
🏆 Bulgogi hansang: A traditional tray of bulgogi, miso soup, rice & banchan. Personally, it's my favourite.
✨️ Sweet & sour chicken: Very good, great addition to the meal. Slightly crispy with a little tang.
✨️ Tteokbokki ramen (?): The owners are SO sweet, got to meet them and they brought this ramen dish out that isn't yet on the menu but it taste like tteokbokki with spam, rice cake, mushrooms..etc and the noodles were 🔥.
Overall a great casual Korean restaurant addition for The DMV. I especially love the personal hotpot & all the delicious varieties they offer.

Such a nice change from the Korean BBQ scene. I was definitely craving soup though on this rainy day and I am so glad we found this place! I ordered the Budae (Army) jjigae and my husband opted for the spicy pork tray. All of it was delicious and packed full of flavor. I’m not big on spice (I’m more of a mild type) but I couldn’t resist the flavors of the broth! Great atmosphere and service. We will be back, rain or shine :)
