Amazing flavors! I could not stop putting food in my mouth fast enough. Everything was delicious, and excellent prices. My friends from Shanghai loved it, so that says everything! I had beef noodle soup which was phenomenal.
Love everything about this place. Went because my friend was crazing 酸辣粉 (Suan la fen) and it did not disappoint!! Especially love the portion relative to the price.
We got the N5 Yiban Spicy Dry Noodle (delicious), N9 Suan La Fen (delicious), R1 pork w egg and rice (delicious), and N4 beef noodle soup (not bad). We also got the D2 pan fried chive and pork dumplings that were delicious!! But the pork soup dumplings left something to be desired- not enough soup, and the dumpling was very thick.
All in all, highly recommend. Despite the Yiban and Suan La Fen having several peppers beside the name, it wasn’t as hot as it could be. If you want lots of peppercorn numbness, be sure to ask!!
We were craving spicy noodles and this place didn't disappoint. The Chongqing noodles were spicy and full of peanuts, the cold noodles my colleague ordered were full of vegetables. We also tried the spicy pork soup dumplings and the normal pork soup dumplings and both were great. I especially loved the chili oil on the table.
Yu Noodles has numerous locations in MD and VA. I have been to two others and this location is another winner.
We ordered:
SD1 Pork Soup Dumplings
D1 Chicken Mushroom Dumplings
S11 Crystal Shrimp Dumplings
S1 Scallion Pancakes
Cn2 Black Vinegar Cold Noodles with Chicken
All of these items were very good to excellent. Service was friendly quick and efficient.
Best authentic && affordable Chinese food in the DMV, with great service. Our nice server offered to combine tables for us when we ordered more than our table could handle.
Tips:
- Intestine soup noodles is great.
- Scallion pancake is great.
- If you like spicy, ask them to make it super hot. Even then, it’s honestly not that hot, but it tastes great.
- The spicy sauce on the table goes well with any dish. It’s also not that spicy, but enhances flavor.
- The vinegar on the table is used for soup dumplings.
- The cucumber water will neutralize spice on your tongue.
