Decor is three stars but food is five stars. The Burmese food is fantastic and in many ways exceeds food you’d get in Burma. Restaurant no longer has liquor license , so recommend you byob. Fried shrimp salad, coconut chicken soup, and fermented tea leaf salad are not to be missed.
Amazing food as usual. Love this place
A true gem for authentic Burmese food. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Simple interior with a good selection of seating (have seen large groups here). Tea leaf salad was the star of the meal. The tofu curry was also delicious. Most of the drinks on the menu were not available.
This is the most authentic Burmese restaurant in DMV area. Trust me on it because 1) I'm Burmese, 2) I've worked in another Burmese restaurant years ago that wasn't and 3) I've eaten at a few others.
Many of them change their food to be more palatable for the American diners but this place does not. This place do not compromise Burmese cuisine for a wider market acceptance.
Whenever I go there, I'd find dishes that are uncompromisingly Burmese that I sometimes think about how American clientele would react to those, because many foodies talk the big talk but when it comes to the real intense Asian food, they may chicken out.
But if you're not one of those and actually wanna try something that is close to actual Burmese food, this place is there for you.
