Field & Main Restaurant

Great experience of excellent food. We sat at the Chef's counter and did Chef's choice dinner where you can watch kitchen operations and even chat with the staff at times. Wine was very and was paired with our dinner before hand as part of the Chef's choice dinner.

Before dinner we experienced a wine tasting with about 24 of us which was fun. We had 6 wines that were new to us. We will be going back.

Nice wine list. Sommelier Neal is VERY knowledgeable and personable. Don't be afraid to ask him for recommendations. Mixed drinks are really good if you are at or seated near the bar on the 2nd floor.
It is our go to place when we visit VA wineries off 66.

Stopped for a bite in Marshal after hiking. Didn't know what we would find. We were pleasantly surprised to find Field & Main. They were serving brunch on a Sunday. We were able to grab a table for three and had a wonderful brunch.
Everyone had something good. My pork and egg sandwich was heavenly with sweet and salty sauce. The vegetarian hash was reported to be good.
Upon staff recommendation, we finished with a serving of french toast. We all came away satisfied.

Only regret was getting a standard coffee and not asking if they could make an americano.
