pet friendly on the outdoor deck which is a must for us. I can reiterate everything the previous reviewers had to say. The Caesar salad dressing is beyond exceptional and fully deserves the title of exquisite. I tend to get around; in the 7 years I've lived here in the commonwealth I've dined in Williamsburg, Upperville, Winchester, Harrisonburg, Stanton, Richmond, and everywhere in between. This place has made it on my short list of those places that are truly a pleasure to revisit again and again.
The only things that will surprise you about Ashlawn grille is how little you will pay for exceptionally good food coupled with excellent service and a comfortable atmosphere.
Yummy!! The only real Chef in Fluvanna County. Great food, very reasonable price.
Ambiance could be better as the restaurant is located at the Lake Monticello Club house, but the view is great, services great too. This would be 5 stars if the setting was spruced up a bit.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here in Sept 2013. It was absolutely WONDERFUL! We put together and paid for the whole thing by ourselves = we had no idea what we were doing and were terribly nervous about the outcome and cost. First of all ---the owner, Skip, is amazing. He made himself available to us via e-mail all of the time. I can't tell you the number of e-mails I sent him along with the endless questions. He was patient, kind, and beyond helpful.
The reception turned out to be the least stressful and best part of our wedding day.
The food was INCREDIBLE---I mean amazing (please to try the salmon and steak, all of it actually). The staff were professional, courteous, and attentive.
Our guests had a great time and we were able to really relax and enjoy ourselves. The pricing was even better than what we estimated it would come to.
Overall---if you're considering having an event or going to eat here--DO IT. The food, pricing, and staff are amazing. Thank you Ashlawn Grille for making our special day!!
