Mason-Dixon Cafe (Fredericksburg)

It was a little out of our way returning to NY from Florida via I-95 but it was well worth it and it will be on our ‘go to’ list for next trip. This is a really busy little place. It’s not fancy but the food and service were excellent and very affordable. The menu offerings are broad. I opted for their crab cake sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve ever had and (and I’ve had many) and my husband’s burger looked just like the picture on TripAdvisor! The house BBQ chips were yummy too. We finished off the meal with a shared (and believe me there was plenty to share!) their deep fried brownie sundae. Never had anything like it and it was amazing! Since we were continuing our drive north we passed on the alcohol but they do have a full bar if you are looking to imbibe. Locals were very helpful with directions for the shortest route back to I-95. If you are in or near Fredericksburg it’s definitely worth the stop!

This breakfast spot was on point ???????? The portions are huge, food tastes amazing and at a great price. Although it was a lengthy wait to get seated once our order was in our food came out in about 10 min! Well worth the wait and we are excited to come back to try something else on their menu.

Quite possibly the BEST burger I have ever had! Ordered the "Slap Yo Mama" burger with "sweet potato tots". Served quickly. Pleasant waitress. Clean restaurant. Cant wait to go back. The margarita was decent too.

Great! Food and service are always spectacular! Hard decision as to what to pick from the delectable menu! Try the steak patty melt on grilled sourdough bread with that special bacon that they have. Oh my that was tasty , yes sir. Must make an effort to visit more often!
