I got the crab cake entree. It tasted pretty good. This coming from a Marylander is high praise. Nice atmosphere and the staff was pleasant. The only downside was that the location only had one bathroom stall.
I have been going to Mason-Dixon Cafe in Fredericksburg for a few years now. Great place to eat but it did have significant drawbacks such as inconsistent quality and often extremely long wait times. These kind of things are to be expected with a busy restaurant. The Stafford location however seems to be much more equipped to handle a large amount of people and the quality of the food is consistently high. If you're looking for a place to eat in South Stafford Mason-Dixon is definitely the place to be. Let's face it you don't have many options anyway.
Good service, Great food! I had a Ruben that was really great! The meat was sliced just the right thickness, a generous portion of sour kraut, the Swiss cheese was flavorful and the fries were fresh and hot. Price was fair.
This place lives up to the solid reputation that you find online. My wife and I went and had breakfast and man was it good. Following the advice of our waitress I went from a full order of pancakes to a half (the pancakes are large), grits with the meal were twice, no three times the size that you get from a restaurant chain. Not much seating but definitely worth going to. The place has a steady flow of customers.
Tremendous food, and always more than you can finish! The servers are very friendly, and the service timely. I have only been for breakfast, but it's outstanding. Very tasty. Go early if you plan to be there for breakfast, because it's always crowded. Especially on a weekend, if you're not there before they open, you'll probably be waiting on a table! That should tell you how good it is!
