Phenomenal food, wine, and service. My new favorite restaurant! Perfect portions and flavor!

The small cozy restaurant that serves good good and carries a decent selection of wine. We decided to check it out for restaurant week and got their pre fix menu with wine pairing. The food was very good and paired well with the wines they selected to serve with it. Being a small place, the place seemed a bit crowded and staff was having a hard time keeping up with the crowd resulting in a little slow service. However, they acknowledged the slow service by apologizing for delays and assured us it's better normally without the restaurant week rush on a Friday night. Great staff, great food, great wine!

Went to Cork and Table for dinner on a Saturday night with a friend. We had made a reservation for 7:15 and were seated as soon as we arrived; the dining room is small but not at full capacity - maybe 3 other tables seated at the time.
We each ordered the four courses with wine pairings - everything was delicious with the exception of the corn and crab chowder (it was perfectly okay - just very generic tasting). The wine was well paired and really complimented the food choices; we even ended up purchasing a bottle of one to take home and it was very reasonably priced.
There was only one server and she was perfectly sweet, but was clearly in need of some help... which ended up being a kid about 10-12 years old. He dropped off our food a couple of times and it was just weird - I understand it is most likely a family business, but it is also supposed to be a high-end restaurant run by a reputable chef.
The restaurant also got increasingly smokey through our time there - very clearly an issue with ventilation from the kitchen. We left smelling like we has had a table inside the kitchen next to the chef and needed a shower once we got home.
We also learned that the meal we paid $65 each for is half priced on Tuesdays - needless to say we will only now go on a Tuesday because why pay double if you don't have to.

Overall we had a nice experience. There is definitely room for improvement. We considered this a "checked box" and will continue on to explore other restaurants in the area.

This is simply the best restaurant in Fredericksburg.

Been there a couple of dozen times. Always great.

James Fallon is a fabulous chef.

Like many chef owned restaurants, it is a bit quirky. But that is what makes it fun.

Yes, it is more expensive than the place down the street, but the quality makes it more than worth it.

We loved this place and will be recommending it to all of our friends. We did the four course meal with the wine pairing and it was well worth the price. The service was spectacular and the food was incredible. You are given a lot of options and the wine was out of this world. Will definitely be coming back here.
