I am so happy I finally got to go here. Jeffery was our waiter(also happened to be the bar tender) and he was fantastic. Was quick with our orders and anything we needed. Food was delicious and I love that they have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

We were visiting on a whim from Richmond and found this gem to eat at. The vegan options are great! I’m so happy they have quite a few options. I loved the atmosphere here and the people. My server was amazing and had a constant smile o her face. Either way, I’m sure no matter what you get it will be enjoyable. Will come again next visit!

I hadn't been to Sammy T's in a while, and was looking forward to it's being a better and fresher since it had changed hands. Unfortunately, it maintains it's 1970s era of a somewhat vegetarian, uninteresting commune-like restaurant.

They don't put popular sandwiches on the daily menu, so when a great sandwich (what a surprise!) is a special it may or may not be added to the menu.

This time I had fried onion straws and black bean soup. The onion straws were crunchy and spicy, but overwhelmed the onions (I shared with envious friends, but they only ate one each). They were fried perfectly, and I would have liked them if I had ordered fried batter. I missed the taste of onions.

The black bean soup also lacked depth and flavor. It was like drinking a cup of mushed beans with celery and very little spice. I had three bites and called it a day.

My friends had a happier experience--they both ordered an avocado melt. One had had one a few weeks before, so she knew to skip the arugula, which is too strong to serve with avocado. They both regretted the tomato ( a useless fruit out of season). Because they really liked their sandwiches, and the service was pleasant and efficient, I am rating this three stars.

Best most freshest food with great service. Very clean restaurant with the friendliest people. My first experience there was amazing and I will be back soon. The only thing I didn't see was high chairs. But overall the best place to eat.

I liked Sammy T's and I will go back to try their menu again. I liked what was on the menu but we only stopped in for a drink so I didn't get to try the food. But what I saw I thought appeared appetizing and I liked the service. Also the paintings done by local artist were engaging and added a charm to this corner bar.
