Chuck's Famous Chicken and Seafood

Went for the fried gizzards and they were excellent. Reminded me of home. Took a while to receive my order, but worth the wait

So glad to finally dine in a local fried chicken joint! I know there are other well established local restaurants in Hampton but I actually tried this one!! Te he he...Let me just say that the customer service is what brought me to do this review. The fried chicken is nicely seasoned and juicy. Fried to perfection actually! I had the whiting fish sandwich, which was full and plentiful! Wow! Wish there was some sort of house made sauce to go along with it though. We also tried the Chicken & Waffles! Loved it! This is a no frills hometown chicken joint that has good food! I’m looking forward to a few years of establishment and growth!!

I was in the area and craving chicken and waffles so I did a Google maps search and I was actually closer to a different establishment, but it had the word "bistro" in the name and call me picky but I don't think they were gonna have the type of chicken and waffles that I was looking for. I'm so glad that I drove the extra 5 minutes to Chuck's. The waffle was perfectly crisp around the edges and soft and moist inside. It was dusted with the perfect amount of powdered sugar and cinnamon. The chicken was crunchy, well seasoned, and juicy. The staff was very friendly, and Chuck even came out and asked how everything was. Awesome place. Too bad I live in Chesapeake or I'd be here every week.
