Yama Sushi Roll House

This is my first review ever and this place was so great I had to leave one. First, the food was delicious. Best that I've had in Hampton by far. Next, staff were so kind and friendly. Gave us a warm welcome when we walked in (even the sushi chefs said hello from behind the counter). They were attentive but gave us time to enjoy our experience. Lastly, the restaurant is a clean, gorgeous, amazing atmosphere. Ignore previous reviews about the smell - it's new and smells like fresh wood. Will definitely come back!!

This is a beautiful restaurant! You can tell they put a lot of hard work and careful thought into the interior design; it's very cozy and sweet. The service and sushi are VERY good too!

I’ve been to many different sushi spots in the Hampton roads area and this place outshines most of them! The wifey and I even arrived within the last hour of the place being open and the service and food were still top notch as opposed to many places that are more focused on closing the place up at that hour than providing quality service. We will be back again and again! Thank you for the awesome experience.

Visiting the area for the week. Was in the mood for sushi tonight. After some research into the area, I decided to try Yama Sushi Roll House Restaurant. I'm very pleased with this hidden gem sushi restaurant. From the outside it doesn't seem like anything special. But the quality of the food and service was excellent. It's a quaint and cozy restaurant. I will definitely be stopping in again during my stay here this week.

I love going here! Tried this place after being disappointed at Sushi King, across the street. I read a review where someone said, "it smelled dusty," must have been a back draft of their clothes cause every time I have visited, it smells clean, just like plugins, so I have no clue what they're talking about. This place has great reviews for a reason. They're always pleasant and it's clean. I love a place in Norfolk but living in Hampton, and driving just to get sushi is a no go. So, this place gets all my votes.
