Shagbark

Super nice restaurant with delicious food. Oysters were on point, fried green tomatoes had some kick, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely would like to eat here again next time I'm in town.

Shagbark is one of my all-time favorite finds in Richmond. Tucked away in a newer type of strip mall, it is a true gem. Great specialty cocktails, Modern, but not trendy ambience. Great service. Fantastic menu. I went crazy over the Endive/Roasted Beet salad!!! Perfectly cooked salmon on delicious potato "cake entree. But the Sticky Pudding dessert with ice cream was spectacular - and a house specialty.

My favorite restaurant. Amazing service and amazing food. For the best occasions come to Shagbark. All seasonal food resourced from Virginia. Decor resourced from Virginia too. Taylor is the best!

What a great restaurant! My absolute favorite for a splash out meal. Everything, from start to finish, was perfect. We arrived ten minutes early, before the rest of our party but we were seated right away and asked by our wonderful waiter if we wanted to get started with drinks. The service all around was genuinely friendly and efficient without being syrupy. The food though, oh my goodness, what food. So beautifully prepared and utterly delicious. Between us we had swordfish, salmon, steak, and all plates were clean as a whistle at the end. Finished with creme brûlée and the legendary sticky toffee pudding, which is to die for. Plenty of parking, comfortable seating (so often lacking), comfortable noise level, just excellent. Can't wait for next time.

On of the best restaurants in Richmond. Our experience was outstanding. I had the rabbit but there were many awesome selections for people not as brave as I. The wine list was good as well.

On the way in I noticed several great selections of whiskey. It was quite and cozy with an excellent wait staff. ????????
