Good curry chicken - served up with cabbage and red beans & rice! Seating inside and out. Fast service. A+

My family is from Brooklyn and before trying Calypso’s we were disappointed in what was offered. We have been to Calypso’s few times and have tried the curry chicken, jerk chicken, curry goat, red snapper, beef patties, kids calypso burger platter, conch soup, goat water, sorrel, sea moss, bread pudding, and mango pineapple cheesecake. Everything we’ve tried is delicious 😋. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. Please help support a business that is worthy of a 5 star rating.

The best jerk chicken I’ve ever had. Red beans and rice was really good. And the fried cabbage was delicious. I got the small and it was more than I could eat in one sitting.

This is by far the best Caribbean restaurant in the Richmond area. It’s adequately staff with minimal wait time, the menu is extensive and the food is very tasty and most importantly it’s healthy and not too salty (I’ve tried all the other Caribbean restaurants and they tend to cook with too much salt but not this one!). The food appears to be made with fresh ingredients and everything prepared from scratch, including the desserts, by their on-site chef. We had the rice and beans, cabbage and carrots, curry goat, plantains and two island drinks - sorrel and non-alcoholic ginger beer and the mango pineapple cheese cake. They all were very tasty. Highly recommend you try their food. You won’t be disappointed.
