Red Salt Chophouse and Sushi

Robert (Rob) our waiter was absolutely exceptional and made my birthday dinner wonderful. The food here was excellent as usual, and the wine selection was great. Thank you for making my birthday special!

Always hit Happy Hour. Friendly, efficient service, good sushi and sliders. Watch out for the truffle french fries as they are heaped in raw garlic. Bring your Listerine if you plan on going out afterwards. Perhaps they should saute the garlic a few minutes allowing it to sweeten and mellow a bit.

Stopped by for a quick bite. This establishment has different menus (brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner). I was there for happy hour. $5 happy hour special. It was quiet so service was great. I parked on the street. Will update once I go for lunch or dinner.

My review is sadly that the restaurant is only okay, because it had so much right. The place was pleasant, the staff was conscientious, the sushi I got was good and decently priced. But they bill themselves as a steakhouse, and the steak failed. My $38 "7 ounces of meat and no sides" fillet mignon was unremarkable and on the dry side. The garlic butter with it was good, but the sauce they brought with it was just an A-1 lookalike. For that much money for that small a steak, I would expect better steak or a good side, and got neither.

Excellent service on Mother's Day, especially from "Kate" our waitress. Wonderfully tasting food; presentation beautiful too. Only thing keeps this from a five-star by me is the price for our meals--lamb chops and the shrimp and grits--was about 15-20% past the price point for this area and what was provided. Other than that, fine dining at its best!
