Placed an order to go for lunch today. They forgot to put in the chili paste for my bibim bab but otherwise a nice dish with plenty to eat. I would love to see them use paper or plant based to-go ware. They packed my single entree in 4 separate Styrofoam containers. I don't care if my food touches. Who does?
This is authentic Korean food. It is not uncommon to find eateries within markets, in the Korean culture. This is not fine dining, but a quick and delicious place to grab lunch or dinner. Dumplings are not store bought and the food is cooked from scratch. The lady who works the counter is friendly and courteous. There may be a language barrier but realize this is not your neighborhood Kroger. There are pictures of the food items along with a menu. And even if the lady cannot explain the menu items, there are patrons who can assist. Coming from Baltimore where there are several Korean markets, I am happy that this market opened in Glen Allen. Along with the grocery market, there is a fresh seafood section, where you can buy fresh fish at great prices. Try it with an open mind and you will definately enjoy the experience.
Very delicious food in a good atmosphere. Highly recommended the BulGogi.
Good place for delicious korean food. it's so savory. looking forward to a return visit.
Always great experience here. Not your usual restaurant location. Its inside the Korean supermarket. It is self served. The food is always great and you actually can see them cooking your order. I think it has a lot of value especially for lunch break. One advice from me especially in the spring or summer when we all mostly wear short sleeves, the place is vey well cooled so you might feel little bit chilly here. You want probably take with you some long sleeve hoodie or sweatshirt. Other than this i would come here again.
