Lilly Pad

Very nice atmosphere. Wait staff is friendly. They really do try to accommodate kids. They have games and bubbles for them. But the food is not worth that type of money. No flavor. Burger was tasteless. Crab dip was bland. Kids food was the same. Wanted to like this place, but we won't be returning.

Waterfront dining and on this night there was live music. The drinks were good and we're a good match for the food. A little off the beaten path, but a great spot to end a work day or start a weekend. Would get 5 stars if the would add just a small wood dance pad, now that would be awesome!

This off the beaten path restaurant is located in Osborne Landing (you park by where you would put a boat in the water). It's nice that they have outdoor seating that overlooks the water. The ambiance indoors leaves something to be desired but the staff is friendly and the food is good. I ordered a fried fish sandwich basket with fries and a sweet tea ...then ordered an orange crush at the recommendation of a friend. All were good. I'll be back.

I have lived in the area for a couple years and been to the park a couple times with the kids. I have always said I wanted to stop in and check out what the Lily Pad had to offer. Well, I did. The ladies at the bar were pleasant and inviting. I ordered the Carolina Pork Sandwich - I believe. It was amazingly delicious.
I feel sorry for the guy who made it. To produce something so delicious, he must have had to sacrifice in other areas of his life do not miss a chance to have a snack and a drink here. Riverfront fare not to be missed.

Great place to enjoy the James River. You cannot count on them being open , this is the best way to kill a business.
UPDATE: Under new management and this place is rockin!! Food is great and the service has improved dramatically! Dependable hours now
