The Crab Lady

Had a desire to get some blue crabs since we hadn't had them in a while. Oddly enough the desire kicked in while in Richmond and not back home where crabs are everywhere. Found that this place was listed and gave it a shot. It's definitely got the crab shack vibe going and clearly it gets a ton of business. We ended up getting the crab kickers and seasoned steamed shrimp. Both items were delicious and we ate them onsite. Kickers are crabs already broken in half with butter and spices. Most people get food to take home and it was about 100 degrees during our visit so not many people wanted to hang out. Staff was super helpful even tho they were busy. We also ended up getting some of their fired Whiting which had a great breading on it making it crunchy with each bite. I think it's cash only but they do have a ATM inside. If I'm ever back in Richmond looking for blue crab I'll go back.

Son and I ate there last night. Ladies super friendly and helpful. Crab and shrimp kickers were delicious.

The kickers are AMAZING! The crabs was hot, seasoned and good. No complaints here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the CRABS and the CRAB KICKERS and SHRIMP KICKERS! The Crab Lady's seasonings are the BEST I've tasted in YEARS! 16 plus years and counting.

rather expensive. staff is not friendly. Stuart's has the same crabs , same price, but superb customer service. 10 minutes before closing an employee was on the porch turning the OPEN sign off, saying " I ain't doing this today. We getting out of here today." As I was leaving, a woman was pulling into the parking lot, stopped me and asked what was going on, no one would answer the phone. I told her it was best not to go in and bother them.
