Newly renovated Tides Inn, great room with 5 star amenities. Loved the pool area with no extra charge cabanas, loved drinks by the pool. Dinner at the Chesapeake Room was excellent. The thing we didn't like was being awakened by construction noise at 7:15 in the morning. After spending $1000 for a 1 night stay with dinner and drinks, sleeping in would have been nice since it was an adult getaway. We let the front desk know and left a review letting management know. We were contacted via email and offered a 2 night stay if we would talk to them about our stay. We thought that was awesome. We scheduled a phone call, however, no one called. I emailed to verify they had my correct number. They apologized and we scheduled another call. To this day, we never received the phone call or the gift certificate. It is a nice place to get away but no follow through.
Scenery and service is bar none the best in the Chesapeake Bay area. If anyone wanted to experience the Bay at its finest, this is the way. Plenty of wonderful things to do on site, the food (especially dessert) is 5 star, and the amenities are first class. We live in Hampton Roads and stumbled on this place after living here for 7 years. Will come back for our anniversary every year as long we live here. Do yourself a favor!
Not for a stay. The grounds are amazing! The staff, kind. The overlook in the water and facilities are beautiful.
It's not cheap, but could be worth the $$$$, if you pick the right time of year and get lucky with the weather.
My wife and I stayed here for 5 days. Our deluxe room with balcony was really nice. One of the best. It's a lovely property and very relaxing. I would highly recommend it.
My husband and I had an amazing weekend at the Tides Inn. We planned a little “baby moon” weekend and our expectations were exceeded. The property is beautiful, the food was amazing at both the Chesapeake Room and Fish Hawk, but above all the staff members were amazing. Amy at reception was so welcoming upon our arrival and had a special treat to celebrate our our baby moon which was very memorable. I also had a wonderful mother-to-be massage at the spa. Highly recommend The Tides for a weekend getaway from D.C. - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
