I LOVE THAT THIS WAS A MILL BACK IN THE DAY. WONDERFUL & COURTEOUS STAFF PLUS SUPER DELICIOUS FOOD!! VERY ELEGANT!! I LOVED IT & WILL MOS DEFLY BE BACK W/FRIENDS & FAMILY❤❤❤❤❤
Tuscarora Mill (commonly known as "Tuskies" to locals) is a somewhat-pricey restaurant and bar offering excellent American cuisine, a good wine list, good ambiance, and excellent service.
While I find the seafood entrees to be the menu's highlights, my children prefer the steaks. You cannot go wrong either way.
The appetizers are generally very good. My family loves the crispy oysters, the lobster, and the seared tuna. We sometimes order a bunch of appetizers and use them to construct a tapas-style meal.
While the wine list is pretty global in nature, with offerings from the US, Europe, South America, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa, I tend to avail myself of their corkage service. The current corkage fee is $18/bottle, but the fee is waived for Virginia wines.
The entire staff is efficient and friendly.
I highly recommend reservations; I almost always do mine through Open Table.
What a lovely restaurant! Beautiful venue and fantastic food. We were celebrating an occasion and the staff really made it special. It's a great place to take someone special or to celebrate. And all the food was excellent.
Fantastic brunch buffet! The food was awesome and the service was top notch.
Not once did I have to look around for service. My water glass stayed full, my plates were taken away at the appropriate time, coffee was consistently offered, atmosphere was warm and comfortable.
I enjoyed everything about my visit. Not one negative.
Great food in a old mill that has been converted to a restaurant. Have been here numerous times and are always very happy with the food and service has been exceptional. I highly recommend the meatloaf.
Is pretty small inside so you may have to wait for a table because it gets crowded. Tables are pretty close together in the downstairs area so if you want an intimate, private setting this is probably not the place to go. Other than that it is great place to eat.
