Jimmy's on the James

I expected a lot more from this place. We went during Restaurant Week. Their menu did not match the online version, so several things we wanted to order were not as advertised. (No bleu cheese mashed potatoes, for example. I asked, but the waitress said they were unavailable.) I ordered a filet, medium rare, and it arrived medium well. (I considered sending it back, but our waitress was incredibly flustered, and we had later plans, so I decided against it.) Perhaps the oddest thing is that we asked for dessert to go, and when we got home, we discovered that one had leaked all over our car. It turns out they had put ice cream on our to-go apple pie. (It was on a paper plate covered in foil.)

That said, the atmosphere was nice, and the steak was well seasoned (unlike the potatoes and green beans). The chocolate torte was also delicious. The crab cake appetizer was also quite good.

This place is Awesome ???? Everything is delicious and always freshly made.

I recently had a private party here for my friend who is getting married. The owner went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! He even put put fresh flowers on the table for us. The food was AMAZING and the service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for private events or just a good dinner!

My first time to visit. Nice ambience good food and drinks. Service was excellent. There is also live music.

Food is above average and service was also exceptional. Place is small with limited seating but the atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Prices are higher than average with the dinners around $22 each and the portions are just right. Don't expect to be taking home any leftovers. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and will be going back.
