“Had brunch a few weeks ago and the food was very good: great salsa, large portions. No complaints The problem we had was with the service. The brunch menu didn’t have prices listed and between our server, another server and even the bartender none of them knew. A few minutes later our server told us the brunch items were same price as the menu prices, which seemed too good to be true since you got a free appetizer and $1 margs. After having a great meal we got the bill and each brunch item was listed as $2. I explained to the manager what we were told and initially he expected us to pay but after going over it again he agreed to honor what our server told us.”

“Update! Since my review this location has been remodeled and is now a brand new building from the ground up. Nothing about it is the same. Everything is new and state pf the art. Could use a face lift. This Sheetz has been around for a while now on 221. The paint on the building is sun bleached as are the pumps. The interior is cluttered and not very spacious. The employees are friendly though and the kitchen staff are eager and waiting to take your order. Food is still some of the best and is the best place on 221 for a late night meal.”

“On my drive back from Blacksburg I stopped at this Mickey D's for their sweet tea. (At first, I, too, had sticker shock when I saw that tea went up to $1.39!!) It was well worth the extra $0.39!!! “Cozy little coffee shop nestled in the back of a kid's themed toy and bookstore called Givens Book Little Dickens. I love looking for little, off-the-beaten path coffee shops. This one's a gem. They serve coffeefrom the Drowsey Poet Coffee Co. Delish! They also serve lunch fare, salads, healthy options, etc. Oh and did I mention Toys and Books. Love this place!
