Double D's Smokehouse Grill

We just stumbled upon Double D’s while driving through the area. Hands down the best decision we could have made! Refreshing to find a locally owned gem like this in the sea of corporate chains. The meat was incredibly tender and smoked perfectly. The sauces were super tasty as well! All five people in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals! The staff was so incredibly friendly too. Highly recommended!!!!

Love this place!! Wonderful people and absolutely delicious food. I ordered the brisket plate and it was great! My 5 year old son was with me and wanted a hotdog but that wasn’t on menu. Next thing I know they got him a plate with sliced up sausage and some mashed potatoes with cheese and bread and told me it was on the house. How wonderful as we were going to go to sonic for his meal. Please try them out!

Wonderful lunch at a reasonable price. The Brisket was wonderful and the service was great. This is a hidden gem in South Hill, Va.

I finally got around to trying this place out and had pretty high expectations based on everything I had seen online. Needless to say, they surpassed all the expectations I had. The older gentleman taking/preparing orders makes you feel right at home. He was so kind and had a nice little conversation with him and the customer in line ahead of me, you can tell they care about a great customer experience.

The food itself was amazing and you got great portions for the price. The Simple D with Brisket/Slaw/Pickles and a little extra sauce on top absolutely blew me away. I also got a Brisket plate with Collards and a Pulled Pork plate with Baked Beans and have to say they were the best collards I've ever had, the brisket just pulled right apart and had an amazing smoke ring, and the pork was a little on the fattier side (not a big deal to me but may be to some) but was absolutely delicious. I had to get a side of the Cheesy Mac and was so glad I did, I ended up just eating the entire little container on its own.

Definitely one of the top BBQ places in the area and highly recommend trying it. I'll definitely be back soon for wings and ribs.

Awesome food and better people. Owners are down to earth and make amazing bbq. Some of the best I've had and I eat a lot of bbq. My favorite is the Brisket, baked beans, and mac & cheese. Of course, everything is yummy.
