“I finally got around to trying this place out and had pretty high expectations based on everything I had seen online. Needless to say, they surpassed all the expectations I had. The older gentleman taking/preparing orders makes you feel right at home. He was so kind and had a nice little conversation with him and the customer in line ahead of me, you can tell they care about a great customer experience. The food itself was amazing and you got great portions for the price. The Simple D with Brisket/Slaw/Pickles and a little extra sauce on top absolutely blew me away. I also got a Brisket plate with Collards and a Pulled Pork plate with Baked Beans and have to say they were the best collards I've ever had, the brisket just pulled right apart and had an amazing smoke ring, and the pork was a little on the fattier side (not a big deal to me but may be to some) but was absolutely delicious. I had to get a side of the Cheesy Mac and was so glad I did, I ended up just eating the entire little container on its own. Definitely one of the top BBQ places in the area and highly recommend trying it. I'll definitely be back soon for wings and ribs.”

“I decided to get breakfast here this morning. It's hard to find local places that serve breakfast and is open early in the morning in south hill. This place is brand new to town , and they did a great job on my order ! Food was actually enjoyable , it was made fresh. The chicken and waffles have this hot honey/syrup which really gives it a nice kick not too hot either. The home fries had a good flavor the only critique I have is they were quite greasy so I soaked what I could up with a napkin. Eggs were well flavored, and not dried out. Ham was really good . And homemade biscuits instead of canned is always a plus . Would eat here again, and I want to try lunch with them. Truly one of the best local places I've had for breakfast in south hill.”

The travel plaza features a fast food counter for hamburgers and pizza, a jam-packed convenience store and and a segregated trucker's area. Very clean, and pleasant service.”
