“Super cute upscale but relaxed lodging perfect for Urbanna 's several oyster festivals. (March November) They are the location of Virginia's state festival. Recommended on Virginia's shop small and restaurants to visit winter tour. Coming during the off season you can experience a nice quiet small town with several excellent diner options within a short walk. If you want to go further there are bikes and kayaks. If you like history the town has many markers to explore with linked YouTube videos for additional graphics and details. Very pet friendly for well behaved pets. Dog bowls and bed ready in room on arrival. Little welcome snacks for the humans. Decor is a mix of retro, beach sea side, and new technology. Many fun small gems to keep looking for. Large common areas inside and outside for gathering. Would be great for large groups. Owners are super friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and have HEPA filters which is a nice extra touch. Treat yourself to a fun getaway.”

“This is our "go to" eatery. I honestly thought I'd reviewed it long ago. Locally owned and operated, the friendliest staff around and great food are what you can expect from this local treasure. You should note, however, that this is a traditional "seafood shack". No AC, picnic tables and indoor/ outdoor seating. They do have ceiling fans and stand fans to keep the air moving, but it can get pretty hot. Don't let that stop you (we don't!) but be aware. They are also the only place in the area, as far as I know, that you can get a traditional crab feast of fresh steamed, local crabs. I recommend the soft shell sandwich or the Baja Fish Tacos, though my wife always gets the steamed shrimp. Oh and don't forget the hushpuppies and crab dip!”
