We ate at The Corner at Clay Street on Mother's Day. The meal was delicious. I like that the restaurant has a limited amount of tables (not terribly crowded) and the staff is very attentive. We made reservations for the meal, were seated right at our time, and our drink orders were taken immediately. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits (one of my favorite dishes wherever I go and this did not disappoint). My husband and daughter ordered the chicken and waffles. My daughter is a picky eater but liked her meal (first time trying chicken with syrup and now she is a fan). A nice touch for Mother's Day-every mother received a rose and chocolate truffle. My husband and I are planning to return to the restaurant one evening for date night.
Our party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our post-graduation dinner! The graduation menu was fabulous, and we especially enjoyed our private dining room. The service was wonderful, and we finished the evening with delicious dessert!!!
We have eaten here twice. Both times excellent service and food! Ate inside first time and on the patio second time. Both quiet experiences which is such a contrast to crowded, noisy venues. Highly recommend. Want to try brunch next!
Exceptional intimate setting for casual meal or if celebrating a special occasion. Unique menu of traditional southern favorites complemented with surprising chef specials. Wait staff very attentive and Josh and Jenna the owners create a culture for both guests and staff that they care.
We came here for my daughter's graduation. To be honest, we came to this place because everywhere else was already full by the time my daughter decided she wanted to go out to dinner afterwards. However, it turned out to be the absolute best decision that we could have made. The food was really good. The chef was freaking amazing. He came out and talked to us many times and we had our 1-year-old little granddaughter with us and he even made her some special food that she would enjoy. How sweet and awesome is that! Our waitress was on point and super attentive without being intrusive. They gave us our own little room because there were about 10 to 11 of us. Which was awesome because then we didn't have to worry about bothering other diners and it felt a little better, you know- as far as covid. I don't even remember what I ate. I just remember I really liked it. Everybody loved their food. If you ever have the chance to come eat here, run do it!
