Bold Rock Nellysford Cidery

Awesome place. We had the most delicious smoked chicken wings with apple flavored BBQ sauce and crosscut french fries. Me and the grandkids had apple cider, the best ever. My son and daughter in law were drinking various samples of flavored hard ciders. We sat by the fireplace, but there was also patio seating and picnic tables down by the trout stream. Handicap friendly and plenty of free parking. It was a really great time we had there. Thumbs up.

Beautiful area, great on tap cider, live music, indoor and outdoor seating. Non-alcoholic cider available, as well as other non-cider alcoholic drinks (in a bottle or can). Very crowded when we got there at 2p, with lines for both bars. Grass parking is spread out on the grounds. If you're meeting friends, specify which building: the Barrel House (outdoor table and grass seating), or Tap House (indoor/outdoor seating with food).

My partner and I had such an incredible time down by the river, enjoying our drinks with perfect weather. Social distancing was easy but it didn't feel like we were isolated. And we were really surprised by the Mule! Sweetening it with apples rounded it off beautifully. Can't wait to come up again!

This is a great cidery and location to explore all that Bold Rock offers. The venue is great, very spacious with expansive outdoor and indoor seating as well as open fields to simply chill. A bit disappointed they did not carry their brand new flavors such as their Hard lemonade and Bolder lemonade during my first visit as that was why I decided to check it out. Nevertheless, the place and drinks are still great and will revisit hopefully when they carry their new selection.

The cider was wonderful, as always. However, it seems as though the quality if the food has dipped significantly since my last visit. I had the pretzel with "cheese" sauce and mustard. The pretzel was warm, and that is the only praise I can give. The cheese sauce had less flavour than what you get out of a grocery store jar. Come for the cider.
