Excellent place to eat! The food and beer were very good. The waiter was more than helpful with any questions that we had. Almost the whole place was reserved (its a Friday night) so calling ahead might be useful. Overall great experience.

This place is "legit" as my coworker said best. The food was very good, and filling. Priced right and was a great experience. Our server was far from impressive, but I was their for the food, and the food delivered!

I would repeat business when in town. Give them a shot!

I expected that it was have more German goods for sale. I drove all the way down from n Newport news only to realize they didn't even have fresh meats or deli goods for sale, just a few dry goods. The food was as good as anywhere else but nothing to drive 45min out of the way for.

I've been in about five times. Stopped in since the renovation was complete and was phenomenally well done. Had to stop and say, "Wow." Also have to admire all the hard work by this independent business in the modern age, up against McWaleverything. Though the deli look being gone leaves me a bit nostalgic, they still have deli items for order.
