Exceptional food, worth the wait if eating in. Take our is also a fantastic option.
Great pizza, steak subs. Good neighborhood restaurant.
Service was OK to marginal. Italian salad was great! Pizza was not what I am use to at Nino's. The sauce was not spread out and all the toppings were sparse and in the middle of the pie, and the pie was tepid, not hot.
Perhaps my favorite pizza but several years ago they pulled out the keg out so they cannot get 5 stars. Nice lunch buffet with some entree type food as well as pizza. Nino is an institution himself and employs a bunch of nice folk.
I actually planned to go back after having eaten there before. While it's not a NY pizzeria, for this area the food is very decent. The tomato sauce was better than average, the pizza fairly good and in their list of offerings you're sure to find something you want to try.
The staff, however, was a mixed bag. 2 (of the like 6 young people behind the counter) stared straight into the dining room at customers, making it uncomfortable to eat. While they were friendly, they forgot to bring the basics to the table, and weren't as aware and attentive as I felt they needed to be, to me they needed some additional guidance. But the food is better than most Italian eateries around, they offered a bit more interesting selections and the locals kept the place active and lively. The setting isn't a place for Romantic or first dates, in my opinion, some better lighting n decor redo could help that .
All things considered: pricing, quality of food, in clean surroundings, Nino's seems a worthy choice for family, or casual dining. Try it!
