Very nice place to eat. comfortable seating, good food.salad bar and lots of cake, puttings,pies and ice cream with all the toppings you could ask for. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Good service and lots of parking available.
Friday night after 7 was our arrival time on the first day of summer. The remodel looked good. Greeted soon and seated quick . Waiter was pleasant and not timid. Salad bar was clean and fresh enough, no complaints. Vegetables and soup were hot and flavorful. Entrees came without much delay. Missed the bacon on the burger though as it wasn't entered. Burger and fries were good. Chicken strips and onion rings weren't as good we remembered but not bad. Desserts were decent. Service slacked a bit at the end. Had to request the check and a to go container. We'll return. 5 out of seven stars for a perfect score.
This has always been one of my favorite places!! The food is so good. I love the chicken tenders and its worth going just for the salad bar!! This was mine and my Grandmas favorite place to go. Its nice walking in and having so many memories.
.We love this place to eat. They have the best breakfast, lunch, dinner. Anything you want anytime of day the freshest food. The chef makes the best fried flounder I've ever had. The salad bar has everything you would want on it. The homemade rolls are just like my mama used to make back in the 50s, to die for. Overall this is one of the best country cooking type restaurants I've ever been to. The foods like the country fried steak, are so homemade their desserts are all homemade the atmosphere is just a lot of locals and a few like me tourists. I really grew up there in Orange, but have been here over 50 years in Virginia Beach, so I look forward to going to country cooking every time I'm back home. Give it a try you won't be disappointed promise.
