The Hangry Lion

Absolutely loved the beef rolls appetizer but was disappointed by the main course. The pork skewers were $20 for just meat and a side... Granted, the meat was delicious but eating just meat with a bready side was just too much. This would've been a great meal had there been garnishments and sauces or anything break up just the meat. This place has so much potential and can't wait to see what improvements they make in the future but it'll be a little while before we come back. Way overpriced for the time being.

We got there for a late lunch/early dinner and told to sit "anywhere". Being the only patrons at that time, we chose up front, near the big window. The waitress was friendly and recommended a few plates when asked. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and fries, followed by a slice of spice cake.

So Good!

The owner/manager? was informed, when she came around to check on us, how much we enjoyed the food.

I hope to try something else on the menu soon, as I'm now intrigued and want to go again!

The Hangry Lion in Petersburg is in my personal humble opinion a perfect family dinner spot. Everything tastes homemade and it is cutsie decorated. They have a good kids menu, drink menu and a great selection of different styles of entrees, salads and sandwiches. Also many different desserts. My little family enjoyed this a lot.
We had the lamb burger and Chicken Waffles.
Only took pictures of the appetizers, fried green tomatoes and a salad wedge with homemade blue cheese dressing!
Plus the service was great, friendly and quick.

So good! Husband and I took our 3 boys and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Good sized portions for the price. Club sandwich was awesome. And if you visit without ordering a dessert you’re doing yourself a disservice. The banana pudding was great!

Went in for a quick lunch as they posted about a beef stew. Service was great, sat at the bar. Grilled cheese was awesome and the stew was pretty decent. Not my favorite but I'm pretty picky sometimes. I will definitely be returning.
