Gourmet Burger Bistro

I love the feeling of coming to a family owned restaurant. The food is great and the owners are real friendly. They treat you like family. I will be back!

Went by the Norfolk location in the Military Circle Mall with the nephew. Had the P towner burger. (burger with fried egg. bacon, American cheese, lettuce and tomato). Literally the best burger I've had. French fries are excellent too. Best lemonade as well. Highly recommended!

I was in the mood for a good burger tonight, and remembered reading about a burger place nearby that we hadn't been to yet. After very little effort, I convinced my family that we needed to try this new place.

As we drove up, it was very obvious the owner loves this place. The outside had great signage with eye-catching colors and graphics. There is an inviting covered patio with dining tables, as well as more seating inside.

We went inside and were greeted by the incredibly friendly people of Gourmet Burger Bistro, as well as the Burger King himself, the man responsible for the miraculous burgers!

We stepped up and ordered, each of us getting something different. We tried The Classic (with corn fritters), The P-Towner (with fries) and the Burger Melt (with onion rings.)

We sat inside at a table close to the kitchen and waited with anticipation for our burgers to be brought out. I am happy to say, we hardly waited any time at all, before our food appeared.

I took one bite and was stunned by the flavor burst and stream of juices from this delicious burger! It didn’t even need condiments! I have not had a burger that juicy since the days of the original Wendy's burgers, which were advertised as you had to eat them with a stack of napkins to mop up the juices.

Each of us devoured every single bite. We also sampled one of the wings that are featured on Wing Wednesday ($1.00 a wing) and have already planned to go there for brunch on Sunday.

The owner plans to have a location in each of the 7 cities. With the pending opening of the new location in Norfolk, I have no doubt he will do it. Truly the BEST burger you have ever eaten!

First time going Sunday for Brunch. Food was amazingly delicious... Customer service is OUTSTANDING.. FOOD AND SERVICE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY...

First time customer. I ordered the Bacon & Shrimp Burger with fries, and it had to be one of the best burgers I have ever had. The burger was cooked well done, but was still juicy and tender like it was cooked to a lower temperature. The fries were very good as well. They have earned another repeat customer today!
