Toast | New American Gastropub at Winterfield Place

Toast is good. I wouldn’t call it great. The food is fresh and made well, but honestly, I really don’t think it’s at all worth the price. A Thai wrap with no protein (just the tortilla and vegetables) is $11. Small flatbreads are all around $13-15. However, it exists in a vacuum - this area of chesterfield has next to NO sit down restaurants. It’s primarily fast food/quick order or big chain restaurants. I think with the mall nearby opens the new Boathouse restaurants, this demographic will prefer that. In the meantime, I’ll just head a mile away to Independence Golf Club’s Tavern 19 (no membership required). Service is so-so depending primarily on who you get as a waiter/waitress.

Had Take out once. Dined in and ate once. Going to the restaurant is usually better than take out no matter where u go IMO. Except for Chinese food maybe. Good food at toast. The wife and kids liked it too. Wife and I had some different cocktails that we really liked . But at $10 each we couldn't have a 2nd. Go there. U will enjoy it.

Just a hair Below Average, food was OK ( The meatloaf looked and tasted like it had been out a while ), presentation was at best mediocre. Menu seemed an eclectic mix of sandwiches and main courses. Like it couldn't figure out if it was a dinner restaurant or a lunch spot. All overpriced for what it was. Beers were served in 11oz glasses.. (10oz beer) but cost the same. Overall A 2.5, I gave a 3 because food was at least edible and staff was good. $80 with tip for two dishes and 3 beers... to me $20 either way isn't a big deal.. But here your paying for location and ambiance.. as the Food is simply mediocre at best.

This place is out of this world!! The food is so flavorful! The people are so friendly and make great suggestions and personable. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm. A great place for you and loved ones to go! I can't say enough about this place!!
