Excellent food! Steak and chicken fajitas were AMAZING! Everything read fresh and hot. They were very busy but the wait was very short. Excellent place
This was a sweet little spot, and I do mean little. Unassuming as it may look on the outside, I ventured inward and it was quite crowded, which seemed like a good sign. I must say it was pleasantly surprising. The staff was courteous and speedy. The seating arrangements were a little tight, but that didn’t stop them from zipping in between people to bring tray after tray of piping hot food. I immediately noticed the sizzling fajitas that were being served almost every couple of minutes. It must be a popular dish. Feeling something different, I went for the chimichanga. The tortilla was lightly fried and the steak on the inside had the perfect amount of pink. It was juicy enough to keep the inside a little soft and the flavor was unbelievable. I was not expecting that. Not bad priced either. I will be returning again.
El Tio is my go to place every Friday night for Happy Hour. My friend and I meet there and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere and yummy food. Our waiter Cameron is sweet, helpful and accommodating. He keeps an eye on our table to make sure we don't have to call for him..truly amazing service. We always order from the Happy Hour bar menu which is limited and offers smaller versions of their best selling dishes: nachos, quesadillas, etc. This is perfect for us as regular dishes are way to much food for me. They recently remodeled and we had to go elsewhere. We could not wait until they reopened!
Come for a meal YOU will enjoy!!! El Tio will be your new go to place for true Rex Mex food!
El Tio is a Mexican bistro style restaurant. It's loud and crowded and the food is good. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa has just enough bite to be flavorful without being too "spicy". I don't think I've had a dish there I did not enjoy.
We used to enjoy El Tio. Now that they have renovated their restaurant, I'm not so sure. Their floors are so polished and smooth that they are absolutely dangerous. We almost slipped and we saw other people just avoiding falls because of the slippery floors. When we left, our clothing smelled unpleasantly of having been in the restaurant. I guess it's into the laundry or dry cleaners with them. The food was reasonable, but not as outstanding as we had remembered. We may not go back again.
