    This place is great! I'm glad to find a local Indian restaurant That isn't taste of india.
    Even towards the end of the lunch buffet(2:15), they were still refreshing foods.
    Met the owner and he was very polite. Truly cares about his restaurant.

    Foods were delicious. It didn't taste like it had been sitting out there for several hours like some other Indian buffets.
    They even threw in some non-traditional foods for the more uncultured folk.

    All those 1 star reviews are fake! And probably paid for by a competitor.

    They wrote no explanation and came from accounts that have legit 1 review. Trying to bring down the overall rating of this place.

    Try it for yourself and you won't be dissapointed.

    My family and I have been visiting UT since the day after opening. Every visit has been spectacular from start to finish. The staff is very knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. Complementing the great service is amazing food. 5 stars all the way around.

    Another experience at Urban Tandoor. Everything was fantastic. We went there for lunch buffet. Lots of choices including vegetables and non vegetable item along with salad, fruits, different sauces and hot & cold desert too. Friendly ambience with good service. Will be coming back and suggest others to try U-Tandoor.

    Extraordinary. Right after you step into the restaurant, you will find a magnificient setting. Mouth watering starters as well as main course will lure you to visit often. Servers are always ready to help and very attentive. Much needed Indian restaurant in the area. All the best Urban Tandoor.

    Went there with my daughter about 2 weeks ago. What a wonderful experience. This is a delightful addition to the Gainesville dining scene.
    The flavors were rich and varied with just the right touch of spices. The decor was modern with clean lines, yet colorful wall art of Nepal and the Himalayas brought an air of cultural enchantment steeped in history. The service was spot on - one truly feels like a guest here. Don't miss the lunch buffet - fresh, ample, and very, very reasonable. The Nan bread is the best I've ever had.
