Bar Solita

I just came here for apps and drinks for a bachelorette party I have to say how much I loved it. The staff is so friendly, accommodating and professional, even helping someone out from my party when they needed a tampon! In addition, the food was great and the interior is beautiful. This was the first bar I went to in Richmond ever and it was enough to make me want to come back to the city

It is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. It has an awesome atmosphere and a nice, open feel to it. I had a wonderful appetizer, a great salad, and a delicious dessert. All were very tasty and portions were a good size. Everyone on the staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially Gabriel. He always came to check on us and asked questions to make sure we were happy with our meals and service. I would highly recommend this very nice restaurant!

I love the ambience of this place. It was a perfect place for brunch and we couldn't have asked for better food or service. The Old Bay Chicken Biscuit was amazing and I would eat it every day if I could. The space itself was very spacious, and I loved the decor of the entire place. Bar Solita even has an area for private dining, which I will definitely keep in mind for future events. Because of the great prices and closeness to VCU, Bar Solita is the perfect place for college students to have a fun night out at a chic restaurant without breaking the budget.

Definitely had a great time here! We were in town for a wedding and happened to walk by the place at around 1am on the way back to our hotel. Thinking they were closing up we peaked in to ask about hours and we were not only surprised by a 2am closing time but we were also welcomed and encouraged to come in. Once they realized we were a wedding party, the newlyweds were welcomed with a glass of champagne.
The guys behind the bar were great. They really knew their stuff and you can tell that they enjoy their job. The bar it’s self was extremely well stocked with many different kinds of alcohol, mixers, and liqueurs that you wouldn’t find it 99% of bars. We had a few manhattans made with different twists. The spicy Manhattan was the best.
Lastly, even though their kitchen was closed they managed to scrounge up a small midnight snack for the girls. This was a completely unnecessary gesture and it was extremely appreciated.
All in all, we had a great time here and the service was top-notch. The service here at 2 AM was better than the service at most places at 5 PM.
