Duck Donuts @ Altria Theater

Stopped by this morning for some donuts and an iced coffee, everything was great! Will most definitely stop by again, especially with me parking in the garage right next to it. Very convenient on the way to class!

It's good

I've been a long time fan of Duck Donuts ever since I tried them at one of their Outerbanks locations. They make the Donuts in front of you not unlike Krispy Kream however unlike Krispy Kreme you get to control how they are topped. Right now my goto flavor is a peanut butter icing with a chocolate drizzle then topped with bacon. It's like a reeses peanut butter cup with bacon. I'm sure it's not good for me but the party in my mouth doesn't care. I also tried their season flavor key lime with a raspberry drizzle and topped with coconut, flavor explosion beyond comprehension. I've heard they will be selling ice cream to go with the donuts so you can have a donut sunday just like the other locations, looking forward to that.

What really sets this place apart is the location, it's inside the Altria Theater which is one of the most historic landmarks in RVA. Pretty cool.

Looking forward to my next visit, thinking of trying blueberry icing topped with graham cracker crumbs drizzled with key lime.
