Metzger Bar and Butchery

I have been meaning to come here for so long and it just hasn't happened. Went for brunch and it was even better than expected. Already drooling thinking about a return visit.

Absolutely delightful brunch. Perfect dishes to share excellent mix of cocktails and beer. Very authentic take on German and euro dining and a comfortable space. The cheese spaetzle with egg carried me back to my youth. Missed the pretzels but I'm sure they are delicious as well.

Metzger Bar and Butchery was an interesting restaurant. It is a small venue, with a bar and about 7-10 tables depending on the size of the parties. I'm not sure where the "butchery" comes into it, I saw nothing like that. The service was a little slow, but the food was delicious. The food is German. I had Chicken Snitzel and loved it. The coating was crispy and meat moist and tender. Others in our party had the scallops, and the pork chop. Everyone was happy. Then came dessert, happiness went to a whole new level. Awesome desserts! The prices aren't bad, but they do add up. I'd say 2 people runs about $100 if you have drinks and dessert. It's a very nice neighborhood restaurant. I would definitely recommend it.

Great place to eat brunch. The atmosphere is relaxed and causal where one to a group of people may eat there. Had the delicious schnitzel with duck fat potatoes and sausage gravy, the Dutch baby with compote and cream as well as the pretzel roll on the side. Will be a repeat customer.

Went on a Sunday evening. Nice and quiet, got the charcuterie for the 4of us , excellent and well presented. 2of us got the duck great presentation, rabbit was very nice. Dessert and coffee were a good way to finish. The young woman serving was informative and thoughtful. Looking forward to returning. Thanks for a great evening.
