After a 6-year absence from Richmond, I loved my box lunch today! Just as good as I remembered.

Sally Bell's has the best potato salad I've ever had. It is like eating ice cream it is so good. We have it for every holiday and or celebration. We've even taken 10 lbs to Florida on vacation.

Five generations of my family have enjoyed Sally Bell's
For three of those generations it was called Sarah Lee's, the name did not change till the late 50s. Always great quality and many wonderful choices. As I was growing up, Sally Bell's was always the last stop when we were in our way to the Rivah, the first night nobody had to cook as we all had a box lunch for dinner! When they were on Grace Street it was always worth the trip. The potato salad is worth the trip alone. In the box lunch you often have many choices. Always a cheese biscuit with a pecan on top. Potato or macaroni salad, although I would admit that the potato salad is always a great choice. Sandwich choices are many , chi6 salad, cream cheese and nut, ham and .and many other choices. For dessert, many choices of cupcakes all of which are iced on all sides except the bottom! You also have a choices of tarts for dessert. Apr, chocolate, sweet potato, and many other wonderful choices.
Sally Bell's has moved to Broad street. About the 2700 block across the street from the Science museum. Today the seventh generation visited, for cupcakes and potato salad. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WONDERFUL PLACE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS THE VERY RICHMOND AND WORTH THE TRIP.
