Dined at the bar because they were so busy on Friday 9/10. had the ‘Fillmore’ Fried eggplant sandwich was very unique and tasty! Took a while to get the food but the staff was friendly and attentive. Fries were excellent, good beer selection. I would definitely return.
Restock your merch! The T-shirts are cool.
I had walked by Secret Sandwich Society and had seen it very busy most of the time so I wanted to try it. Service was flexible when I went and it was not crowded, letting me sit outside. The inside has a cool vibe, albeit the temperature was chilly. I ordered the Buddha salad with cauliflower, chickpeas, pickled onions, feta, and curry Mayo. It was very tasty with fresh ingredients. The cauliflower was still raw and a bit difficult to cut. The serving was generous. I was not super hungry so I did not feel the need to add a protein and had leftovers for lunch the next day. For a sandwich/salad shop open later on Sunday’s in downtown I would certainly recommend.
THE GROVER IS SO YUM! My partner had the fried fish sandwich and was fully satisfied. Was not disappointed by this lunch. Food has so many funky delicious layers of flavor. Service is attentive, kitchen was timely. Highly recommend this hidden Richmond gem -- close to 95, so if you need a break on a car ride, this spot is worth the time.
Order the regular fries....the sweet potato fries were 'off'/too chewy.
I really enjoyed visiting this unique sandwich shop in Richmond, VA. They have a variety of sandwich concepts - none that resemble the typical meat and cheese on white bread. I had fried chicken breast with Buffalo sauce and jalapeños slaw - it was not spicy hot. Instead, it was flavorful with mellow spices; although, I would recommend getting the pickles on the side because they vary so much and when strong will dominate the taste on this sandwich. Lastly, the wait staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thanks triple-S, looking fwd to my next trip to Richmond.
