I think this is the most unique restaurant I have ever been to. It has a combination of Mexican food mixed with Asian cuisine. The flavors are truly out of this world. I recommend General Wongs Fried Chicken Burrito.

The food is a perfect asian/Latino fusion. The service is always great. The most recent night I went they was having issues with their pis so our entry and appetizers came out at wrong times but that was no big issue because of the service was A1.

If you are in Richmond, A meal at Wong Gonzalez is a MUST. I’ve traveled the world for 25 years and for flavor and innovation, this is by far my favorite. Reasonably priced, a little something for everyone on the menu. Start with the Fiesta Bites (you will probably leave with another order to go.)

Maybe there are other places like this but for me it was different from what I have experienced before. As such it deserves a visit. What can you say when the food of Asia is mixed with Mexican/Latino. I am sure you can imagine that it is different. Only comment may be that the menu was a little limited Service was quick and efficient, but I must say the restaurant was not that busy on a Thursday early afternoon. Prices were reasonable.

One of my favorite downtown stops! Sometimes a little noisy due to the DJ on the weekends, but a super unique menu fusing Asian and Hispanic notes that will both fascinate and intrigue you. Drink menu is definitely desirable and I’m excited for my first trip to their happy hour. Get all the downtown vibes and make the trip! You won’t regret it!
