We had lattes, crumb cake, a breakfast sandwich, and a scone and every bite or sip was fabulous! The only possible downside was a lack of seating since it was a sidewalk window, but we figured it out. Definitely give this place a try! We will be back!
I loved their breakfast sandwich and cookie. I just wish they’d open back up again to allow people to dine inside, as the wait for my food and coffee was rather long. The food quality made up for the wait time though!
Positives: the staff is very nice and helpful.
Neutral: did not try any of the baked goods, so cannot comment on those
Negatives: After the second time, I decided to write a review. I got a mocha twice and my friend and I got a mocha and a latte this time. The espresso tasted burned after both visits. My mocha was very okay, just burnt. His caramel latte tasted burnt, then like water. There was really no other flavor. Latte’s don’t always have to be sweet, but I would like another flavor except water and burned espresso. I gave them 3 stars because they seem really nice, and it’s not the worst coffee I’ve had in Richmond. I think with some minor improvements their coffee could be much better since they seem really nice and they're in a good location.
Best bakery! Coffee is superb. Pastries are delicious. Honestly everything is way better than any coffee shop/breakfast place I've ever been (trust me I've been to MANY). Seriously impressed by this place.
Their pasties are fresh made daily and so good. They always have vegan/gluten free options, too, like the vegan olive oil cake. It's so delicious!
They adapted quick and well to the demands of the pandemic. Though we're no longer allowed inside, it's kind of a blessing because their pastry case is in the front window now and much easier to peruse. No more squished feeling and trying to navigate a small crowded space.
