The food was very very good! I had fried chicken with yams and greens(the veggies are cooked without meat)my mom had the liver and onions with yams. She said the liver was cooked to perfection. The yams OMG! the yams... 😋, the fried chicken was so good, the inside was juicy even the breast and the outside was crunchy, awesomeness, and the greens were quite tasty. The ice tea was really really good, couldn't get enough of that. Considering we were with my son's College track team, we were all served in a very timely fashion. Oh yeah, the cornbread that's bought to the table makes you wanna smack your momma! The cornbread was also freaking amazing. Good place to eat so if you're in Richmond and want some good home food it's definitely a good choice.

Definitely good eats. One of my colleagues flew in from Boston and had a request for Southern cooking. Of all of Richmond's offerings, I hit a home run with this choice. My colleague was excited on the presentation and loved the taste of the fresh, hot fried chicken . Good portions and reasonable pricing.

I went to Sweet Tea's for St. Patty's Day for the first time and the food was EXQUISITE!! I was not expecting it to be that good! The drinks, however, were SUPER strong and bitter. Staff were very friendly and inviting. The food came out fast and was hot. I will absolutely be going back!

I don't live in Virginia but this is always a spot my family loves to go when visiting my sister. The Arnold Palmer, chicken, pork chop, and yams are delicious just to name a few. If you like southern big mama home cooking, you'll love this place

    Ambience:
I never write reviews but this place was amazing!!! I've heard great things about it and decided to try it out for myself and it was a good thing a did. Not only is the staff very friendly and welcoming but they go out there way to make sure you are well taken care of (true southern hospitality).

    Food:
The cornbread was moist and warm. A great teaser before the main entree. I opted for the crab cakes with Mac and cheese and it exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend ordered the wings (as an appetizer) and the fish as a main course and everything was delicious.

    Drinks:
Most creative drinks I've had. I was told that It is constantly changes everyday you are in for a surprise

    Overall Review:
I assure you this place is a MUST when you are in the area. Even if your on the go and want a quick meal stop here! Trust me you won't be disappointed. Tia is always there to greet you with a big smile!
